Power corrupts, and what’s more powerful than an enormous axe comprised of a metal stronger than any seen before? Such was the logic of Olga Skulltaker (not her real name), the self-styled bandit queen of Fellhollow.
As a child, Olga had always enjoyed listening to her grandfather’s stories from the mainland. Tales of mighty warriors defeating terrifying foes. Purehearted heroes challenging evil knights to great battles across pointlessly high bridges and the like. Her parents always laughed and called her “their little hero” but the truth was she was far more interested in the villain.
When she was old enough to wield a weapon, she trained with the biggest axes she could carry, and her sparring partners feared facing off against her because she always took things too far. Once even costing another student their fingers.
As an adult, she found a place for herself among the Children of Shadows. She had hoped they would be dangerous, wicked people, like herself, but instead they spend their time reciting terrible poetry and talking about evil, without ever doing it.
So she took her axe, changed her name, and found the highest bridge she could, and attacked anyone that tried to cross it.
