Turn your limestone this way and that and you might come across a fossil. Lesser blue dragons have been in the region for some time, and there were experimentations that led to them. Being experimentations, they weren't cognitively blessed, so it's entirely possible to find the talon of a dragon that got trapped in a rockfall.
You could also find the odd chicken wing from the Second Age. The Children of Shadows loved a shake and bake.
