Foul creatures, warped by Imaru’s terrible hunger. They were once convicts and criminals, now cursed to serve as Imaru’s claws.
In the ages past those who had committed the gravest sins were given to Xikotal for conversion. He would breathe into them a new way of thinking, draconic magic creating a fog in their minds that erased their wicked past and offering them a newer future.
Some would be farmers. Others might live their lives in service of the village, even taking roles as priests or healers. The strongest would be given new identities, soldiers to stand as the dragon’s forces.
They were closest to Imaru when she died and as she drew in the souls around her they were the first to be afflicted. Withered and rotten, these tragic creatures remember nothing but a desire to infect and destroy.
