If you thought the red dragons were bad, you’re in for a rude awakening. The black dragon is a powerhouse of destruction. Every fibre of its being is bred to defend Kuldra and obliterate all threats that get remotely near.
Xikotal was the exception. He was a creature of empathy and he struggled with the violence that Kuldra bade him inflict on the world. When the first of the dragon wars ended, he nestled in with Imaru and the two of them tried to turn tragedy into something beautiful; a gentle utopia, where all life was sacred.
This disgusted Kuldra, and she has made sure that none of her black-scaled brood ever suffer the same weakness.
