Everything about the avantoe is quickfire. It grows quickly, blooms fast, and is a superb catalyst, reacting quickly in potion-making. It's a plant in a rush, eager to germinate and get the next avantoe on its way. Meanwhile, I can spend an hour trying to work out what to eat today, and can stare at an empty space where a journal should be for even longer.
