Few sights are as intimidating as a great axe hefted toward you. It can only be carried in a pose that exudes raw strength, and a bearer of such a weapon can rarely look meek.
Bandos was also a fan of the aesthetic. While he favoured the sheer brutality of the kyzaj, he chose to wield a great axe against Velgar. He stormed Brakka’s Folly, great axe in hand, and challenged the dragon to single combat. A god versus a dragon, the outcome felt obvious, yet it did not play out how Bandos expected.
