Is it ingenuity of hubris to refine the mighty scales of a dragon down into this thick and sturdy leather?
To the Wild Knights it was the natural order. Hides became leather, which became a resilient second skin they would wear whilst riding into battle. Favoured by archers and scouts due to the nimble flexibility of the scales, whilst still acting as a resilient bulwark against sword, arrow and claw alike.
